D.N.E.
Vicente Razo
August 2019
“God Does Not Exist”, a project carried out in collaboration with Vicente Razo. D.N.E. consisted of rewriting one of the most famous slogans inscribed by muralism: the phrase “God Does Not Exist” that Diego Rivera painted in 1947 in homage to Ignacio Ramirez “El Nigromante” in the mural Sueño de una tarde dominical en la Alameda (Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in the Alameda).
In this case, the phrase was credited to Diego Rivera as a reflection and provocation on the controversy surrounding the origin of the phrase and its authorship.
